We’re gearing up for summer in Lancaster! We can’t think of a better way to spend a summer evening than with some live music in the great outdoors. Lancaster County offers a variety of outdoor concert series so you can keep the jams coming all season long.
The most notable of the summer concert series is Long’s Park’s Summer Music Series. Entering it’s 57th season, this Lancaster staple offers an eclectic mix of performers every Sunday from June through August. Thanks to support from the community and the hard work of volunteers, these concerts are absolutely free! Gather round the amphitheater this Sunday at 7:30pm for a soulful evening with Liz Vice, and get ready for the biggest show of the year, the Patriotic Concert on June 30th when stars and stripes will fly and so will the fireworks! What could be better than live music? Live music with delicious local wine at Nissley’s Music in the Vineyard! Spread out on the spacious lawn Saturday nights for music, dancing, food and of course, wine! Bring your own picnic or treat yourself to local food truck fare. If you prefer a more historic backdrop for your concert going experience, check out Music in the Orchard at the Hans Herr House. Local musicians take to the stage every other Saturday at the oldest surviving home in Lancaster County. All of these concert series are rain or shine, with only severe weather stopping the tunes.
