Evans Candy is located south of downtown Lancaster, just minutes from our Lancaster County Bed & Breakfast. The family-owned business has operated out of an historic mill for more than 40 years. The building, which used to be known for producing Daisy Flour, now pops out over 50 varieties of melt-in your-mouth, rich, creamy chocolates and candies daily.

The smell alone makes their half hour, wheelchair accessible tour a must-see for any Lancaster Bed & Breakfast guest. They’ve been perfecting their craft in downtown Lancaster for 140 years, and they fill every sweet bite with love.

What goes better with chocolate than wine? Lancaster wineries share the same people-focused passion as our candy stores. Our personal favorites at The Hollinger House B&B come from Nissley Vineyards. The Nissley family has been making Estate-bottled and fruit wines since 1977. They offer tastings and tours of their operations in a picturesque setting with an elegant, rustic barn and acres of softly rolling orchards. Every season has a certain charm on the vineyard. Cozy up next to the fire with a glass of your favorite wine for one of their Fireside Tastings, every Saturday January 6th through February 3rd. Local craft beer and light snacks for pairing are also on the menu for this special winter experience.
